For Beginners:

Beginners are started on the lunge line (a long line) in order to assess their riding ability and teach each step needed as safely as possible. Lunge lessons last for an average of 8 weeks, though it may be more or less. This method has been developed over years of experience and with the rider's safety as the most important aspect. Beginners will begin in a group of four with all riders sharing a horse for one hour, progressing up to each individual riding their own horse for one hour.

All lessons are one hour (Private lesson: half an hour) with a maximum of four riders per lesson. Riders must arrive half an hour prior to lesson time to tack up horses (brush and saddle) and stay for half an hour after the lesson to un-tack.

What to Wear:

- A boot with a heel.
- Long hair must be tied back.
- Gloves are recommended.
- Tight fitting pants (stretchy pants are better than jeans), no shorts.
- T-shirt or long sleeve shirt, no sleeve-less shirts permitted.
- ASTM approved helmet (School helmets are available for use).

* Dress for the weather! If it is cold outside please bring gloves and
wear many layers of clothing, which can be removed if the rider heats up.
